Summer informed Michael in the eating area of the Athletic Club that she was aware Phyllis had visited him. She enquired about Phyllis' whereabouts, her plans, and her general well-being. Michael retorted that although Phyllis was anxious, exhausted from running around, and deeply worried about Summer, they had a very fruitful conversation about her alternatives.
Michael was asked by Summer if Phyllis would be coming home soon. According to Michael, Phyllis' future was uncertain and heavily dependent on her. He assured Summer that he would do all in his power to bring Phyllis home. He claimed that Phyllis refused to come forward because she believed Christine would prosecute her with every crime under the sun. He stated that Phyllis would consider it and weigh her alternatives.
Summer confessed her love for Phyllis to Michael, but she was horrified by what the woman had done to her. She claimed that there would still be collateral harm even if they were to solve all of Phyllis' issues. What collateral harm, enquired Michael. She might need a lawyer, according to Summer.
Summer admitted that Phyllis had contacted her first, and unlike Daniel, she had managed to keep Phyllis' identity a secret. She claimed to have given Phyllis food and clothing while also attempting to assist her with everything. She admitted that she was guilty of obstructing justice and aiding and abetting a fugitive, breaking numerous statutes. She claimed Chance had informed her that Christine was prepared to file a complaint against her.
Michael enquired as to whether Summer had discussed the potential accusations against her with Chance. She claimed to have one as a pal. He cautioned Summer not to speak to a police officer, even as a friend, if she had helped someone fleeing for committing significant crimes. Kyle, according to Summer, despised her for defending Phyllis while his mother was imprisoned. She admitted lying to Kyle for weeks and hinted that she could want the services of a divorce lawyer. She claimed that Kyle wanted a divorce and had urged her to leave.
When Audra first noticed Summer and Michael, they were in the foyer. She suddenly recalled the previous evening with Kyle: She assured him that there would be no pressure from her and that she understood if he was considering another escape. They had more sex when Kyle said he didn't want to go home. She approached Summer and Michael while grinning.
Summer interrupted Audra as she tried to introduce herself and informed Michael that Audra had recently caused Noah's heart to break. They had both moved on, Audra said, and she hoped Noah and Allie were enjoying their time in London. Michael was the supreme lawyer, according to Audra. Michael claimed that Victor's acquisition of McCall Unlimited was how he first learned about Audra. Since the gala, Summer said she hadn't seen Audra. Audra recalled being present at the gala when Phyllis passed away after collapsing.
Although Audra admitted she couldn't fathom the suffering Summer had gone through, she remarked on how amazing it was that Phyllis was, in fact, still alive. "Thank God," she said, "Summer has her husband and family to support her." If Audra had any requests, Summer enquired. Audra apologized, saying her only intention had been to express sympathy to Summer. Michael said that Audra looked like a piece of work after she departed. Summer reaffirmed Audra's identity.
At home, Sharon jumped when the doorbell rang. Nick claimed to have a box for her that had been left at the gate. It was most likely Sharon's shampoo, Sharon replied as she set the box on the coffee table.
Sharon informed Nick that he did not need to check on her because she was OK. She acknowledged that when she heard noises or saw light flashes, things could get a little heated. Those, according to her, would send her back into the nightmare, but she would then realize that it had ended.
Nick informed Sharon that he had spoken to Faith and that, in contrast to his other daughter, she had sounded strong and was delighted to be back with her friends. He thought that Sharon was aware that Phyllis was still alive and evading capture. He said that Summer's marriage had been destroyed because Phyllis had drawn her into her drama. Anyone who tried to assist Phyllis, according to Sharon, ended up getting burned, and it was typically someone she cared about.
Victoria had forced Nick to take a leave of absence, Nick said to Sharon. Nick argued that it wasn't sisterly concern, despite Sharon's assertion that it was. When she discovered the package was from an out-of-state law company, Sharon started to say she had to go for work but stopped. Sharon took the box apart.
According to a note from the lawyer, he was appointed to handle Cameron Kirsten's estate and had been given permission by Cameron to send the box's contents to Kirsten in the case of his passing. Shaken, Sharon exclaimed that it had frightened her just like the unexpected parcels that had been delivered to the coffee shop and her residence. She was informed by Nick that they would no longer be playing Cameron's games because he was deceased. Sharon claimed that Cameron could no longer harm them. Nick read aloud what he found as he paged through a notebook:
"I'm going to be somebody, not like these losers. I'm going to be super-rich, so wealthy no one could stop me, and I'm going to marry the most beautiful woman in the world and leave all these suckers behind."
When Sharon opened a bag, she discovered a dog's collar bearing the name "Frankie" and a small vial containing the animal's ashes. She produced a picture of Cameron's parents that had the faces torn off. Sharon was shocked to see that Cameron had turned over his firm to her when Nick took out a brown package carrying paperwork from his company, "Kirsten Incorporated." Nick shared the same shock. He asserted that it had to be just another of Cameron's bizarre games.
Nick was prompted to verify the date by Sharon. Nick verified that Cameron had organized everything the year before as a prank on Sharon from the other side. According to Sharon, the lawyer asked her to get in touch with him to complete the ownership transfer. Nick claimed that it demonstrated Cameron's insane attachment and the fact that Sharon had been his true love. He questioned whether there was a better way to stay in touch with Sharon than to hand up his business to her.
Whether he was alive or dead, Sharon informed Nick she didn't want anything from him. Since Cameron had been incarcerated, according to Nick, the business had to be in ruins. Sharon stated that it didn't matter how much it was worth. She declared she had had it with Cameron and his deceit. The box was shut by Sharon.
Nick informed Sharon that Sally was having difficulties and he was going to see her. Adam was, according to Sharon. She thought it would be therapeutic for Adam and Sally to grieve their baby's death together. He claimed Sally attributed the defeat to Adam. Sharon claimed Adam was enraged with both the world and himself. Nick said that when Adam was upset with himself, he had a tendency to vent his anger on the person who was closest to him.
Nick revealed to Sharon that he had seen Adam the night before and that things had become a little uncomfortable. He claimed he had told Adam to keep his distance from Sally and to give her some breathing room. Sharon stated that Adam still cherished Sally. Nick claimed that because Sally had gone on months earlier and Adam would never stop doing what he wanted, the baby had been their sole shared experience.
Kyle remembered having sex with Audra the night before at home. When Jack entered, he declared that the events of the day before shouldn't have occurred. Kyle asked hesitantly, "Which part." Jack cited the conflict inside their family and Traci's efforts to quell it. He said there had been a little détente. Kyle scoffed at détentes, calling them unnecessary.
Jack claimed that because Phyllis had made Summer choose between him and Phyllis, he could relate to Kyle's suffering. Even after his mother was accused of murder, Kyle said Summer had chosen Phyllis and had watched him and Jack suffering. Kyle explained to Jack that Summer was upset with him because he had made up the fact that he had collaborated with Victor to free Adam from Jabot. He claimed that Summer had done the exact same thing as him, only this time it had been about his mother's life and future and she had barely been able to forgive him for breaking her trust.
Kyle questioned Jack's explanation when he said that Summer wanted to make amends. He said that Summer had fled his mother, who might now spend the rest of her life behind bars. He claimed that he had been keen to assist Summer but had been rejected.
Kyle informed Jack that Summer had ignored his feelings for her, Diane, and his love. If Kyle was that hurt, Jack questioned if he was unable to move over it. Kyle muttered that the issue wasn't pain but rather not knowing who Summer was. He claimed that Summer had complied with Phyllis' requests in order to obtain her goals. Knowing Summer could do that so simply, he claimed he couldn't see how he could ever trust her again. Kyle claimed that he had informed Summer that he desired a divorce and that she should go.
Because he didn't see it any other way, Kyle informed Jack that there was no need to postpone what was bound to happen. Jack questioned whether Kyle was prepared to end his marriage, but Kyle shot back that Summer had made the decision to do so after betraying all he'd believed they'd had. He claimed that Summer would probably still be telling him lies if she hadn't been discovered.
Jack recognized Kyle's suffering, but he was confident Kyle had seen there had recently been a lot of forgiveness, for offenses much more terrible than Summer's. Jack refuted Kyle's assertion that he wasn't as forgiving as Jack. He stated that both he and Kyle had pardoned Diane, but Kyle insisted that this was not the same thing. He wondered how they could recover from that, saying he regarded Summer as someone who hadn't loved him enough to be honest; she had taken him and everything they had for granted; she had blown his trust "to hell."
While Jack acknowledged that Kyle was upset, he thought Kyle's love for Summer outweighed his current emotions. Jack claimed that rage was a very strong feeling and that it may cause him to make poor choices. He advised Kyle to wait until his rage subsided before making any snap judgments.
Kyle explained to Jack that he had made his choice based on information, not feelings. He claimed that in practice Summer would consistently side with her mother against him and Diane. Kyle promised that Phyllis will soon enter their lives and start speaking in Summer's ear. Kyle questioned how his already failing marriage would withstand the commotion.
Kyle predicted that Phyllis would return to town, Michael would carry out his plan, Phyllis would only be charged with minor offenses, and she would then resume upsetting everyone's lives since that was just how she was. He predicted that Phyllis wouldn't change her ways, that she would keep harboring animosity toward his mother, and that she would keep pulling Summer under. He claimed he would not permit Harrison or himself to participate in that circus. Jack concurred that their home shouldn't have been filled with so much rage for so long. Kyle claimed that his wife was largely responsible for producing it.
Kyle recalled requesting Summer to inform Harrison that Phyllis had passed away, but Summer refused because she was eager to include Harrison in her drama and knew Phyllis was still alive. Kyle related this to Jack. After Summer had treated him like the enemy for weeks so that she could keep Phyllis' filthy little secret, Kyle yelled that she had spoken about their wonderful love. He claimed that Summer had given her life to save his mother. He was reminded by Jack that Diane had excused Summer.
Kyle questioned Jack about how understanding Diane would be if they ever crossed paths again. He questioned how far Diane would go to hold Phyllis accountable for attempting to ruin her life. According to Jack, there may be a problem. Kyle said that there was already a major problem. Even while Traci wanted their home to be peaceful, he said he only saw trouble ahead, especially for him and Summer. Kyle stated that the reason he and Summer were divorcing was because he would stop at nothing to protect his son.
Soon after Kyle left, Summer went back to her house. She assumed Kyle had told Jack everything when she first saw him. Summer claimed that none of it was intentional. Jack gave her a hug. Although Summer acknowledged that whatever she did was her choice, he said that she had been placed in a very tough circumstance. She said that had she acted sooner, Diane would not have been charged with murder. She claimed that Jack undoubtedly loathed her, but Jack asserted that he would never harbor such feelings because he knew she would always stand up for her mother, who was her entire world.
Summer confided in Jack that she had attempted to make sense of things and apologize to Kyle, but she felt that everything she did only served to alienate him. She acknowledged that she had deceived Kyle and everything Kyle believed their marriage to be. Kyle was clearly hurt, Jack acknowledged. Kyle didn't want to hear that Summer had never stopped loving him. She declared that she didn't want to be apart from Harrison, the family, or the home. She enquired of Jack how she can get Kyle to pardon her. No one could be forced to forgive, he argued.
Jack explained to Summer that Kyle needed the distance so he could absorb what had happened, and that it would be beneficial for both of them. Jack told Summer that he had loved her from the minute she was born, but he also loved his son and would back whatever choice Kyle made. She replied that seemed "so final."
In the words of Summer, she had ruined everything. Since Kyle could hardly stand to be in the same room with her, she enquired as to what would happen to Marchetti. How could they collaborate, she enquired. According to Jack, individual preferences should be put aside in favor of what is best for the business. Jack claimed that Summer was the inspiration for Marchetti's success and that if she and Kyle couldn't cooperate, Kyle would have to step down.
Kyle assured Mariah she was correct when they were at the coffee shop. He claimed to have given Chance the location of Phyllis, but Summer had forewarned her, so she had vanished. He claimed that Summer was preoccupied with clearing her mother of as many charges as she could. He claimed that Summer was equally keen on making amends with him and Phyllis.
After Kyle revealed to Mariah that Summer had been lying to him for weeks, she suddenly found herself apologizing to him nonstop. Kyle acknowledged that nothing could return to as it had been. Kyle and Summer, according to Mariah, have created a life together. Kyle asserted that Summer's lies and deceit had destroyed that.
Kyle informed Mariah that he had recognized Summer for who she truly was. He questioned how he would ever be able to rely on her to prioritize their son and their marriage. He promised that Phyllis would return to their life, and he disapproved of raising Harrison in the toxic relationship that Phyllis and Summer had created. Kyle claimed that Summer had visited Diane and urged her to step in. Mariah claimed that when Summer approached her, she told her that she had never been worthy of Kyle.
Even though Summer was messed up, Mariah assured Kyle that Summer loved him. She claimed that despite his wounded heart, Kyle might still be in love with Summer. Kyle asserted that since the issue was one of trust and Summer had slammed it, love had nothing to do with it. He claimed he had told Summer he wanted a divorce and instructed her to leave.
Kyle was questioned by Mariah how Summer had responded. Summer, he claimed, had flung it back at him and essentially accused him of dumping her on the street when all she had done was try to assist her mother. He claimed to be terrified of what was ahead but was unable to envision how he could create a life with someone he couldn't trust. Kyle was acting morally for Harrison and himself, according to Mariah.
