The Young and the Restless Recap: Summer tells Nick what happened with Phyllis.

Jack told Diane he had enjoyed celebrating her new position in the jazz lounge. Diane acknowledged she had "so much" for which to be grateful. She claimed that she and Jack could take on the entire globe. Jack assured them that they will continue to be unstoppable.

Jack gave Diane another toast. He claimed that despite Diane's concerns and irritations—including Ashley's opposition and ugly behavior, Phyllis evading capture, and the heinous things Phyllis had done to her—she had never allowed them to stop her. Diane acknowledged that Kyle having a room at the club to be away from Summer did break her heart. She wished for their best outcome. Kyle and Summer would have to experience hardships in order to learn about love and forgiveness, contrary to what Jack thought they would.

Diane claimed that she and Jack were fortunate in that they had lived long enough to understand that hardships were a natural part of life. She claimed that they valued what they had at the time and accepted both the good and the bad. She claimed that after throwing everything away, she had to learn a difficult lesson. She acknowledged that she had done a lot of bad things, but having Jack back in her life had inspired her to do better. Jack remarked that they were fortunate that life had reunited them and that they could truly be partners. She promised to make an effort to avoid messing things up "this time." According to Jack, they were entering into marriage with no blinders on.

For only a brief moment of pettiness, Diane asked Jack. She claimed that she was quite proud to know that Phyllis and Ashley were still mired in the past and harboring bitter feelings. She expressed sympathy for them. In agreement, Jack kissed her.

Michael told Lauren that he had been preparing for a lovely evening with her when Phyllis showed up in his suite at the Athletic Club. When Lauren was taken aback, she inquired about Phyllis right once and expressed her want to see her at any cost. She questioned whether Michael had come up with a plan to allow Phyllis to go back home without ruining her life.

Phyllis should expect certain outcomes if she turned herself in with Michael standing in for her, according to a scenario Michael informed Lauren. Lauren enquired as to whether Phyllis could be kept out of jail, but Michael said that there were no assurances. He claimed that in order for him to succeed, Phyllis must give up. Lauren asserted that Phyllis must be frightened of ending up in jail. He claimed that the only other choice available to Phyllis was equally hopeless: she could trust him. All he could do was wait after he said Phyllis would consider it. Lauren missed her friend and hoped Phyllis would make the right decision.

Lauren was told by Michael that he had known Phyllis was alive for some time. Lauren said Phyllis had gone through "so much." Michael claimed that Phyllis was fearful, anxious, and hiding behind a façade of confidence. Although it had been amazing to see her, Michael acknowledged that it had also been painful. Lauren wished she could travel through time and dissuade Phyllis from her crazy plan. Michael claimed that Phyllis had put herself in that situation. He declared that he wanted to save Phyllis from the situation, but she would have to make amends for some of her transgressions.

Michael was urged by Lauren to reconsider. She instructed him to consider Diane's life, saying that she had pretended to be dead for a long time before coming back. Since the day they met Phyllis, according to Lauren, there had been a series of horrifying errors. Michael asserted that listing all of Phyllis' transgressions would cause their printer to blow up. Lauren claimed that in spite of this, they loved Phyllis. She enquired as to what it would take for Phyllis to change for the better.

Lauren questioned Michael on the possibility of such drastic shift. According to Michael, incarceration had been beneficial. Even hitting rock bottom, according to Lauren, had no impact on Phyllis. Lauren asserted that neither she nor Michael agreed with Michael's suggestion that she might not be saved. She asserted that people may change. People, yeah, Michael replied, but Phyllis? Not really. It would involve finding Phyllis the proper motivation, according to Lauren.

Lauren praised Michael as a smart lawyer who always had creative answers, even when they didn't follow the rules. Michael advised Phyllis to compromise with him by lowering her standards. He claimed that even if he cleared her of the murder accusation, she would still be facing a mountain of charges.

Lauren advised Michael and her to retreat to their personal paradise and forget about everyone else. Lauren declared her love for him and her eagerness for their romantic evening to begin. They made love.

Kyle stated in Audra's suite that there had been It was something they had both needed, Audra said as she put a cap on his statement. Kyle's need to flee, according to Audra, was understandable. They made love once more when he declared he didn't want to go home.

Kyle then offered to order room service, but Audra declined, stating that she had a very busy day ahead of her. She said that she was filling in for Nick at Newman Media while Nate covered for him. Audra stated after they'd taken a shower when Kyle recommended he get dressed. Kyle expressed his gratitude to Audra after their encounter in the shower. If things happened again, fantastic, but if not, she'd had a great time, Audra agreed. Aye, Kyle. He gave her a kiss.

Audra searched up Kyle's profile online after he departed. Nate sent her the following text: "Ready for tomorrow? Our entire world is about to transform. She grinned and remarked that perhaps hers had done so already.

Kyle met Diane and Jack as he made his way downstairs from Audra's suite. Diane questioned Kyle's presence. When they saw him earlier coming upstairs, they presumed he required a room due to his relationship with Summer, according to Jack. Kyle claimed that he had to leave the stressful situation in the house. Kyle had just taken a shower, and Diane saw his wet hair. Kyle acknowledged that the shower had been helpful, but he wanted to be there when Harrison woke up since he had come to the conclusion that staying away from home wouldn't help.

Diane informed Kyle she was happy he had understood the importance of putting Harrison first. She expressed regret for exaggerating how unhappy Harrison had been and explained that her motivation was to draw Summer and him closer. Kyle promised to meet them at the house and stated he didn't want to talk about it. Jack questioned Diane whether Kyle had appeared a little uneasy after Kyle left. Kyle, according to Diane, was under a lot of stress. Jack concurred.

Summer remembered an incident involving her and Kyle in the park when she noticed Kyle wasn't home at home. Kyle assured Summer that they were intended to remain together forever, especially given everything they had been through in the past, including breaking up and getting back together.

Phyllis texted Summer in the present, saying, "Spoke with Michael. may at last recognize a solution to all of this. Summer whispered that Phyllis was entirely to blame. She inquired about Nick's wellbeing following his adventure with Cameron when he arrived. Before departing for Michigan, she said that Faith had informed her about it. According to Nick, Cameron was determined to eliminate as many of them as possible. He claimed that while in jail, Cameron had become fixated on Sharon, and he had thought that by spending time in the sewer with her, everything would come full circle.

Sharon and Faith were doing the best they could given the circumstances, but Nick assured Summer that they would survive because they were strong. Nick announced that he was taking a break from Newman; it wasn't his decision, but maybe it was for the best. He revealed to Summer that Sally lost her child the same day Faith was abducted. He said Nick was unaware of Adam's relationship with Sally until after it had already occurred. Sally wasn't doing well, he claimed.

Summer said that she couldn't heap any more blame on Nick when Nick inquired as to what was going on with her. Because he could tell she was worried, he encouraged her to speak. She acknowledged that she had broken up their union and that Kyle had requested her to leave. She was requested to fill him in on everything.

Nick said he couldn't believe Phyllis had faked her own death and put Summer and Daniel through a hell they didn't deserve after Summer recounted everything to him. Summer said that Phyllis wouldn't tell her where she was because she was trying to keep Summer, Daniel, and herself safe. She claimed that Phyllis had offered to give herself in to save Summer and her husband's marriage, but Summer had rejected the offer. She stated that they needed to look for a means by which Phyllis might leave without being detained for Stark's murder.

Nick admitted to Summer that his feelings toward Phyllis were difficult and that he didn't understand why Phyllis had put the onus of solving her problems on Summer. Summer claimed that Stark was largely to blame for what had happened to Phyllis. She reminded Nick that Diane had attempted to cover up her own death by blaming it on someone else, but it had never come back to haunt her. Summer claimed that although Phyllis' reasoning had been flawed, she had seen some justice in it.

Summer liked her mother, Nick said, but they were also talking about Kyle's mother. Summer claimed that in trying to defend Phyllis, she may have jeopardized her marriage. Summer claimed that she had been unable to stomach being in the same room as Kyle when she believed Phyllis had passed away because he kept protecting Diane. She claimed that he had rejected the idea that his mother might have killed her own. She acknowledged how angry she was about it. She claimed that Phyllis, the person who killed Stark, had just appeared. Phyllis had urged Summer to keep her existence a secret from everyone, especially Kyle, as she knew he would have called the police.

Nick was informed by Summer that Phyllis needed more time to establish self-defense. Summer declared her agreement. She claimed that even if it meant prolonging his mother's pain, she had frozen Kyle out to protect Phyllis. She claimed it was a terrible thing to do, but she was unable to take the chance of the truth being discovered before Phyllis had time to think of a viable defense. Nick observed that the distance between Summer and Kyle had grown as the situation stretched on.

Kyle was unhappy, according to Summer, because she hadn't given him information that may have set Diane free. She acknowledged that she had prioritized Phyllis over Kyle's feelings, her marriage, and what she knew to be right. She claimed that she had persuaded herself that she had no choice but to act the way she had.

Summer questioned Nick about possible solutions. Kyle would hopefully see that Phyllis had put Summer in a terrible situation, according to Nick. Kyle, according to Nick, loved her and would find out how sorry she was for hurting him. Kyle and Summer had a history, and it had taken a long time to establish trust, which Summer had broken. Summer said Kyle was only reacting at the time.

Summer explained to Nick why she thought the breach between her and Kyle was irreparable, but Nick said he thought they could mend it if they both wanted to. Summer claimed that because Kyle was so irate with her, she didn't believe he wanted to make things right. It might be the last for them, she said. Nick wished he could have given her some encouraging words.

Summer said to Nick that although her brain kept telling her to defend her family, she was feeling disoriented at the time. Nick asserted that Phyllis had placed excessive demands on Summer. Summer acknowledged that she had the option of declining and informed Phyllis that Summer was in a terrible situation because Phyllis detested Diane. Nick was informed by Summer that Phyllis couldn't tolerate being imprisoned. Because it would feel like Phyllis had died again, Summer claimed she couldn't stomach her being on the run. Nick expressed his regret that Summer hadn't contacted him sooner. She concurred. She claimed that as soon as she confided in Daniel, he started telling people and things started to fall apart very quickly.

Summer admitted to Nick that she was aware that Phyllis had been Stark's victim, but she blamed Phyllis for the incident as a whole. She hoped she could celebrate the fact that her mother was still alive, but because Phyllis held a vendetta against Diane, things with Kyle were extremely tense. Summer claimed that the cost of keeping Phyllis' secret had been too great, and she should not have consented to do so. Nick acknowledged that Summer liked Phyllis, but Phyllis was always a trade-off. He claimed that Phyllis was like a tornado, destroying everything in her path. That, according to Summer, includes her marriage.

Summer confided in Nick that she didn't believe Kyle would ever be able to forgive her and that she was unsure whether the separation would lead to a divorce. She claimed that after everything, they still lacked a means of returning Phyllis to her home without having to detain her for Stark's murder. Summer said she felt as like she had lost Phyllis and Kyle, and there was nothing she could do to repair the wrongs. Her recovery was inquired about as Nick gave her a bear embrace. She acknowledged that she was slightly better.

Summer admitted to Nick that she had only been able to communicate with Diane, who had unsuccessfully attempted to reason with Kyle. Summer would need to exercise extreme patience, according to Nick, and things would become worse before they got better. Kyle should take some time to himself, he informed Summer, and he would talk to her later. Summer promised to pay attention "this time." She acknowledged that if she had contacted Nick sooner, she wouldn't be in the situation she was.

Nick said to Summer that Phyllis could be quite persuasive and wasn't beyond using guilt trips when it was convenient for her. Because Nick was aware of Phyllis' penchant for controlling everyone, he predicted that Kyle would eventually change his mind. If Summer wanted to speak with Kyle, Nick was willing to do so. Diane and Jack showed up. If they had seen Kyle, Summer questioned them. They had seen him at the club, according to Jack, and he was on his way home.

Summer was instructed by Nick to phone him at any time, regardless of how late it was. He gave her a hug. After Nick had left, Jack volunteered to assist Summer in any way. Diane then asked if they should stay up with her until Kyle arrived, but Summer said that she was fine with that as well. Diane and Jack ascended the stairs.
