At their shared flat, Xander and Chloe shared a meal, but one of them ate more than the other. "I kind of had a big lunch," Xander said. Or is it as a result of that altercation you had at the bar's entrance? Chloe answered.
Chloe could see through Xander's attempt to play off the suggestion with humor. How concerned should I be about how protective you are of your ex, on a scale of one to ten? Chloe questioned. "Zero! I'll be honest, I was shocked to learn that she was engaged, but I'm over Gwen now. Xander responded. Okay, that's great to hear, Chloe said. Do you need a number to determine how scared you should be about --? "However...in the spirit of total honesty, I should admit that maybe Sarah will always be 'the one that got away,' so --" Chloe laughed sarcastically at Xander's offer.
Although they both acknowledged that they still harbored unresolved feelings for Sarah and Brady, respectively, Xander and Chloe were eager to go on and find love once more, possibly with each other. Actually, I was just discussing this with Nicole, Chloe said. She must have been overjoyed, Xander thought. Chloe complained, "One of the first things she asked was if we'd slept together. How did you explain it to her? Xander questioned. In response to Chloe's insistence that "I was vague -- I'm a lady; I do not kiss and tell," Xander grabbed her for a kiss and made a joke about how it would always be their little secret, and they eventually found themselves in bed together.
When Dimitri joined them at the Salem Inn and once more extended a marriage proposal that didn't even include an engagement ring, Leo became furious on Gwen's behalf. After expressing regret for the offense, Dimitri produced a jewelry box and got down on one knee to make a more conventional proposal. The diamond ring was so lavish that it rendered both Gwen and Leo stunned.
Leo decided to give in and allow Gwen to wed Dimitri despite his continued suspicion of the man. Well, that was incredibly kind of you. Thank you so much, Matty, for your reluctant consent. Gwen exploded. Could I please remind you both that I haven't yet given Dimitri my response? Gwen carried on. "You know what, maybe you two should just ride off into the sunset together," I said after you two kissed and made up. Gwen came to an end.
Leo sighed when Gwen accepted the invitation to Stefan and Gabi's engagement celebration after Dimitri laughed off the notion.
Wendy finished her meal at the Shin apartment, gave Tripp another compliment about his cooking, and they quickly resumed their earlier that evening interrupted kiss after Johnny's phone call.
Once more, a tap on the door of the apartment broke up Tripp and Wendy's kiss, and when they recognized Johnny as the visitor, they exchanged looks.
Johnny understood right once that Wendy and Tripp had been involved in a situation. Johnny muttered, "I'd better just...leave you to it, then," and turned away from Tripp and Wendy.
Johnny went to leave the condo, but Tripp received a text message at precisely that moment informing him of a hospital emergency, clearing Wendy's schedule once more.
Tripp apologized to Wendy before starting a goodbye kiss, which caused Johnny to roll his eyes and cough sharply. "Dessert?" With a grin, Johnny made a suggestion to Wendy after Tripp had departed.
When Wendy and Johnny arrived at the town square, they went to the Bistro and got a banana split, which they subsequently shared at a table outside the eatery.
Soon after Wendy indicated interest, Dimitri left the neighboring Salem Inn and enquired about Johnny's attendance at Stefan and Gabi's engagement celebration.
Colin was ecstatic to learn what had happened to Abe, so Sloan went to the police station. Colin said, "I'm all for anything that makes Chanel DuPree and Paulina Price suffer because they now understand what it's like to lose someone you love. Colin, "Damn it, I'm not going to watch you dance on a man's grave from here!" Sloan retaliated. You're on the right track, eh? All goodness and light, right? Colin gave a summary. Sloan sighed and said, "Actually...I'm a complete hypocrite," before telling Colin about the falsified paternity test. There's no guilt in doing what you had to do to keep someone you loved, Colin reasoned. Sloan boasted, "I've made it so that neither Nicole nor Eric -- or anyone else -- will ever know.
Colin supported Sloan's decision to try to conceive a child with Eric, which she also acknowledged.
Nicole was taken aback when she unexpectedly ran into Eric at the DiMera home and grieved when she discovered the cause for the sudden visit. Eric said, "I thought you knew --" "I find it hard to believe this is true!" Nicole argued while trying to hold back tears. Having him in my life meant a lot to me since it meant always having someone on my side, Nicole explained. Nicole said, "Even when I felt completely alone, I always had Abe, and no matter how badly I let him down over the years, he never condemned me. Why? "Because you were like a daughter to him," Eric said. What would I do without him? Nicole hesitated before accepting Eric's hug.
Nicole thanked Eric for dropping by and informed him that Sloan had welcomed the visit. She then quickly called Brandon, who had already received the news via Theo. Nicole mumbled, "Maybe she does have a heart," and then inquired about Eric's choice to try and have a family with Sloan. Eric started to explain, "She saw how disappointed I was when we found out the baby was E.J.'s --" but Nicole collapsed in agony before he could finish.
Nicole acknowledged that it would be a waste of time when Eric started to rush out in pursuit of E.J. The discomfort worsened during the conversation, necessitating a trip to the hospital.
