At the cliff house, Finn expressed sympathy for Liam, claiming that he would have freaked out in Liam's place. Liam was crushed, said Steffy, and she hadn't seen him that heartbroken and dejected in a long time. Finn could only speculate as to how Liam may have felt when he discovered his wife kissing another man. Back in the present, Steffy saw Liam kissing her.
Hope and Liam, according to Steffy, needed to work things out. Because it had been Thomas, Finn claimed it had to be the worst possible outcome for Liam. Steffy claimed that only a kiss had taken place and that nothing further had occurred. "Which is bad enough," Finn retorted. Steffy hoped Liam would see it was only a fleeting moment and that Hope had become engrossed in the fairytale. Finn believed that despite what had occurred in Rome, Hope and Liam's marriage would last.
Steffy remembered Liam's kiss in Rome and was concerned as Finn spoke with the hospital on the phone.
Ridge informed R.J. at Eric's office that in order for him to move in with R.J. and Brooke, he would need to assist move all of his father's belongings out of his grandfather's home. When Thomas entered the conversation, he noted that while he wouldn't criticize Ridge for going back to Brooke, he did feel awful for his mother. Ridge said that Taylor will always be important to him. R.J. pondered whether the women's friendship may rekindle, but Ridge thought their antagonism was still very much alive.
R.J. afterwards gushed about Hope and Thomas' work being popular all week. Thomas remarked the entire experience had been amazing and thanked R.J. for blogging about the preview. R.J. felt Thomas would never forget the trip. Thomas recalled Hope giving him a kiss.
When Taylor appeared in the doorway to greet Brooke and said Rome had been all Brooke had dreamed for, Brooke was giggling over her recollections of Rome in the design studio. If she needed to apologize, Brooke questioned. Taylor asserted that she knew Brooke wasn't sorry for how everything had turned out, including hurting Thomas and Taylor's family and being dishonest about Ridge's situation.
Taylor claimed she had confidence in Brooke and thought their friendship had been genuine. It was, at least to me, Brooke remarked. Taylor couldn't understand how Brooke could have used Thomas' past against him. Brooke responded angrily, saying that she had helped and forgiven Thomas. Taylor disagreed, saying Brooke had quickly returned to manipulating after Hope had developed affections for Thomas. "Maybe for a minute," Taylor said. Taylor alleged that Brooke was only manipulating things in order to reunite with Ridge.
Taylor said that Brooke couldn't say the same thing about him, to which Brooke countered that she could. Taylor claimed that she had frequently questioned Brooke about Ridge's situation. Nothing had been happening, and Brooke yelled that she hadn't lied to Taylor. "You broke our agreement, and that is why we are in this situation. You are solely responsible for your actions. Brooke declared. Taylor questioned what she had done wrong.
Taylor had been working behind the scenes to steer Brooke toward other men, according to Brooke. Taylor insisted that it was untrue. Taylor had been throwing herself at Ridge while at the same time telling Ridge not to interact with Brooke, according to Brooke. Taylor claimed that Brooke had lied about what had been developing between Brooke and Ridge and that it had happened after she had put the puzzle pieces together. Taylor insisted that she hadn't planned to match Brooke up with males, despite Brooke's claims that she was merely attempting to defend herself.
Brooke wasn't convinced. Taylor claimed Brooke had used her dusty fate card to obtain what she wanted, and she didn't care what Brooke thought. Taylor, according to Brooke, had invited herself to Italy when she had no business there and had thrown herself at Ridge. For Taylor's children, it had been a big moment, and she had wanted to be there.
Taylor was questioned by Brooke about their time together and their pajama movie nights. If they would become rivals, she questioned. Taylor declared that she didn't want to have rivals. In response, Brooke said that Taylor had been her best friend who had gotten her into Ridge through her love life. Taylor claimed to be sick of the arguments and back and forth over Ridge. She inquired as to Brooke's level of fatigue. Brooke declared that she was also opposed to doing it.
Brooke was advised by Taylor to enjoy Ridge. Taylor insisted that she was happy and would remain so as long as she had her children and grandchildren.
Liam admitted that he had been at the Colosseum in Brooke's cabin. Hope asked if she could explain, and he roared over her, "And you made me see it!" He claimed Steffy had told him about Hope and her feelings, but Liam hadn't thought there was any chance Hope would betray him and their marriage. He wondered whether she had forgotten all the atrocities Thomas had done. You did exactly that, didn't you? He questioned, "How could you do that.
Liam offered to help Hope explain, but he wasn't sure how. After all the times Thomas had singled her out, he raged, Liam had been forced to witness Hope kissing him. Hope had to be observed by Liam as she leaned in and took Thomas' face in her hands. Liam felt positive that Hope, not Thomas, had selected and brought about that particular time. "I had to accept it since you wanted it! I'm not allowed to erase that from my mind. Liam screamed. He claimed that he suddenly felt a little queasy.
Hope apologized in her speech. Liam retorted that she didn't know. He said he had been thrilled to take her on the yacht for the weekend as a surprise. She insisted they could still pull it off. She didn't understand, Liam yelled. He claimed that she had been aware of his feelings and how much it would pain her for months.
"And each time I tried to contact you, you ignored me. You assured me repeatedly that I had nothing to be concerned about. Liam concluded, saying, "I don't know what to do now that I know I can't trust you longer. All I'd believed in and all I thought she'd stood for... "I have no idea who you are. It's not that, though. That's not it, he declared.
Liam was urged by Hope not to give up on her. It had only been one kiss, she claimed. That I am aware of, he said. How could it have occurred with Thomas, Liam questioned. Hope sobbed and said she was ignorant. She said she had been under a lot of pressure, but once she arrived in Rome, she was free to breathe again. Liam retorted that Hope had feelings for Thomas and that Steffy might have been right after along.
Hope joked that the kiss had been absurd and that she shouldn't be feeling anything for Thomas. She insisted that she didn't want to feel any emotion for Thomas. She sobbed because she didn't know the answer to Liam's question about who she was, but she did know that she loved him. She said that Liam had been there all along. He inquired how it could be real while crying inside.
Hope responded by identifying herself as Liam's wife and explaining that they were still able to have a future, laugh, and love. She pleaded with him not to lose sight of this. It didn't need to be ruined by a single kiss. She pleaded for him. She claimed that while he had also injured her, she had forgiven him for it. She argued that she had overcome it and was requesting the same opportunity to attempt to keep them together as a family. She enquired as to his forgiveness.
